DEI faculty member is the new co-director of the MIT Portugal Program

Immense pride for the Department of Industrial Electronics at the School of Engineering of the University of Minho!

Professor Alexandre Ferreira da Silva, a lecturer in the Department of Industrial Electronics and researcher at CMEMS, has been appointed co-director of the MIT Portugal Program, together with João Pedro Barreto, from the University of Coimbra. This mandate will last five years and marks a new stage in the collaboration between Portugal and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

This 4th phase of the partnership reinforces the link between universities, companies, associations and the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, with the aim of leaving a profound mark on national training, research and innovation.
