On November 14th, the Department of Industrial Electronics (DEI) at the University of Minho enthusiastically welcomed a group of students from the Professional Course in Electronics, Automation and Computers from São Pedro Secondary School, Vila Real, accompanied by Professor Alexandre Breda Matos.

This visit aimed to provide students with direct contact with fundamental areas of engineering, such as electronics, automation, embedded systems, control and robotics, allowing them to get a close look at the laboratories, research and innovation projects developed at DEI.

The program took place between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM at the Azurém Campus, Guimarães, with visits to some of the following laboratories: GEPE Laboratory, Robotics Laboratory, BirdLab Laboratory and DTX Laboratory.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to explore areas such as automation, robotics and control, power electronics and instrumentation, embedded systems, and to see prototypes and ongoing projects that demonstrate the practical application of the knowledge acquired in the DEI courses.

The Department thanks the São Pedro Secondary School, Vila Real, for their presence and emphasizes the importance of these initiatives in bringing future professionals closer to the technologies and research developed at the University of Minho.
